How to play Poconnections
Find four groups of four Pokémon that share something — a type, a colour, a generation, a Pokédex category.
- Find four groups of four Pokémon that share something — a type, a colour, a generation, a Pokédex category.
- Select four Pokémon and hit Submit. Guess wrong and you keep going — there is no lose state, but fewer attempts is a better score.
- Every puzzle has exactly one valid solution: each Pokémon fits only one of the four groups.
- Groups are colour-coded by difficulty, yellow being the most straightforward and purple the most deceptive.
- Winning a daily puzzle gives up to 80 XP in Classic and Wordle. Fewer mistakes earn more.
- Win streak bonus: +5 XP per streak day, up to +100, on Classic wins.
- Streak milestones: +100 XP at 7 days, +500 at 30 days, +2000 at 100 days.
- A new Pokémon in your Pokédex: +30 XP, once per game.
- Name cards do not give XP.
- Unlock name cards by reaching milestones: streaks, wins, Pokédex size, weekly leaderboard finishes and community puzzles. Every card shows how to get it.
- Quality runs Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary and Mythic. Limited cards are only available for a short time.
- You wear one card at a time. A new card is not equipped automatically: press Equip in the result panel. If you’re signed in, you can also open your trainer page, tap the card in your collection and press Equip.
