How to play Elided
Find the longest word moving left to right. Each day has three rounds. Every round is a line of 16 letters hiding one word that's longer than any other you could spell there.
- You get four guesses per round. Any real word of four or more letters counts.
- Find the longest word to solve the round. Otherwise the tiles you used are marked as in or out of the answer, so each guess gets you closer.
- A word the dictionary doesn't accept, or one you've already tried, costs nothing.
- The answer is a common word of seven or more letters, and you're never told its length.
- Everyone plays the same puzzle, with one ranked attempt per day.
- A new puzzle arrives at midnight your time.
